Crookham Village Conservation Area Appraisal
2024 update
March 2024
Hart Council adopted the updated Crookham Village Conservation Area Appraisal (3.8mb).
December 2023
We have now reviewed all of the feedback received and incorporated it into a revised document: Draft Revision 2 (7.1mb).
You will notice that the format of the document is significantly different and we hope that you find it easier to read. There have been a few changes to the actual content and so where changes have been made, we have highlighted these by using red text so that they are easy to find.
The consultation on this revision will last for a period of four weeks during which time the new documentation will be available for you to review on this website.
Please email your comments to caconsult@crookhamvillage.org.uk or post to the address below to arrive by the closing deadline of 1700 on Wednesday 3rd January 2024.

Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback.
We will now analyse and publish our responses to all comments made. Where necessary, we will make changes to the document.
Hart District Council have also provided feedback which we intend to incorporate into the document. The suggested changes will enhance the ease with which the document can be referenced when determining planning applications.
Once this revision is complete, we will consult on these changes for any further feedback. We anticipate that this will be towards the end of December.
June 2023
Crookham Village Parish Council has been working over the last couple of years preparing an updated Crookham Village Conservation Area Appraisal document, last updated in 1996.
To help us prepare this important document, CVPC appointed a planning consultant with experience of our conservation area. Building on that initial contribution, parish councillors have completed the task of generating a set of draft documents.
The draft documents are now ready for consultation with our parishioners so that their views can contribute to a final version for submission to Hart Council prior to adoption as a formal planning document carrying weight in determination of planning applications.
The first step in the consultation will be an introductory public meeting to be held at the Women’s Institute Hall in Crookham Village on Thursday 29 June 2023 at 7:15pm. At this meeting we will explain the background to this document and any limitation over the changes we were able to make.
The consultation will last for a period of eight weeks during which time the new documentation will be available for you to review on this website. In addition, paper copies of the document will be available on request to the parish clerk (clerk@crookhamvillage.org.uk or 01252 810568).
Documents for review:
- Crookham Village Conservation Area Appraisal 2023
- Appendix B – Views
- Appendix C – Grade 2 Listed Buildings
- Appendix D – Locally important buildings
This update has not proposed any change to the boundary of the area. An opportunity to review this aspect will come when the Hart plan is updated in due course. Nevertheless, your comments on this and any other element of the appraisal, including your positive support, will be a most important contribution towards getting this document approved by Hart.
PLEASE NOTE: If you accessed and downloaded Appendix D before June 29th the front page was incorrectly titled ‘Appendix C’. This has now been corrected, please access the current document .
Please email your comments to caconsult@crookhamvillage.org.uk or post to the address below to arrive by the closing deadline of 1700 on Thursday 24 August 2023.
